Talk to me nicely!

When you first meet Danyella, the first thing you notice is that genuine, amazing smile of hers. She’s one of the vibrant young adults from our Bible study group my wife and I host, and let me tell you—there’s way more to her than meets the eye.

Underneath that welcoming smile lies a fierce and determined spirit. Don’t believe me? Just ask anyone who's ever heard her iconic catchphrase, “Talk to me nicely!” It's playful, sure—but it also speaks volumes about the strong woman she's becoming.

Recently, Danyella celebrated a big milestone by graduating from Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW), and I had the incredible opportunity to capture her joy during her senior session. Her passion for nursing is palpable, and there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind she’s going to bring comfort, compassion, and that fierce determination to every patient she encounters.

As a photographer, it’s sessions like these that remind me why I love doing what I do. Documenting genuine joy, huge life moments, and extraordinary people like Danyella is what it’s all about.
